thanks jon for all the hard work, i think it really captures the feeling of the new record thats coming. and thanks claudia for letting us use the photo (from the show at the apple store in montreal).
we start recording in a week or so and you’ll be able to watch the whole process here.

Site looks great guys. Nice job. Surprised you went with whte though given that all the take of black backgrounds are more energy efficient. Is that even true? Sorry to eb a downer haha. But yeah it looks great. I think it’s awesome how the site is kept fresh with each release. Can’t wait to hear the acoustic album

You should put a full band recording of your “time of our lives” remix you performed this past tour as a bonus track on the acoustic album
i would pay full cd price for that track alone =)

Hey guys, glad you like it. Lots of room for things to grow while the new album is recorded.
For those of you wanting bigger fonts, this site should allow any browser to increase font size. If you look on your browser menu, you should see a menu heading called “View”. In Internet Explorer, see “Text Size”. In Firefox, see “Zoom”. In Safari, see “Make Text Bigger”.
Regarding the Forums: bear with me as I switch the colours and add the header… it’s a bit of a pain. :)

Congrats on the new site! The white ground is like the new year to me: a new year is like pulling out a clean, fresh sheet of really good drawing paper. Full of possibilities. Let’s see what you draw on it this year David. Looking forward to the process once again. And BTW, I loved Strange Birds, but you managed an even better album this time around! Thanks for it :-)

I really like it. It just makes me want to whip out the felt markers and create some colour, build, in other words, very inspiring. Kind of like the tabla rosa effect..

Just an aside for those who would like a larger font – pressing the ‘ctrl’ button and using the scroll button on your mouse simultaneously will also increase and decrease the font size. It works on Internet Explorer and Firefox.

here’s another on for mac users: hit “cmd and the + sign” for larger fonts
“cmd and the – sign” for smaller fonts…whle you hit “ctrl + or – ” for pcs…

The site looks awesome!! Can’t wait for you to start recording—soooooooo excited for the acoustic album.:) It is also great how you let your fans be such a part of the process ie.song inputs and posting video of you recording etc. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you will come to Nanaimo, B.C. on the next tour– we have a theater here- the Port Theater- which has acoustics that are second to none!!! though i like the old music section better where the lyrics show after we click on the song titles. but apart from that..everything is just looking great here. ;)

Hmmm….David, what are you doing July 1-4? Available any of these days? Would love to see you down for this…usually sells 15,000 or so tickets but I know they are scaling down to 10,000 for this year. As far as I know they haven’t signed all the acts yet. (The acts you see on the webpage are from 2008.)

I don’t know if im the only one experiencing this problem, but on the forums the time that each message is posted is no longer displayed because that part of the text used to be white, and now they just blend in with the white background. Also some ppl’s signitures have disappeared too for the same reason.
hope this makes sense. I’m so computer illiterate I did an interview with David in Vancouver with pen and paper only. He must think i’m hella weird drawing a thought tree in front of him while asking questions, LOL.

Love the new site, it looks so clean and fresh. I’m so excited about the new album, it will be amazing! I’m also super excited about being able to see the whole album making process again. It was so cool the first time to see “wake up and say goodbye” come togeter(on facebook). It takes a very passionate person like david, to share this with the world. I’m very thankful to have the opportunity to see and be apart of it as well. Thank You David, you are amazing.
